Experienced Functional QA Analyst


Along with your team, as a functional QA analyst, you are responsible for the quality approach and analysing user needs. You’ll be the bridge between on one side, the technical team and on the other side, the users.

Both software testing (quality control) and the monitoring/optimising of the quality process throughout the complete software lifecycle (quality assurance) will be part of your job description. In doing so, a focus is put on the shift-left as well as the shift-right principles.

Furthermore, it is crucial that you’re not only able to build a fast understanding of the customer needs, but also think beyond them. You should also be able to identify and map these needs and help define acceptance criteria.

While creating these deliverables keep in mind other team members, so they can also make use of these deliverables.


  • You’re a curious, critical person and have a passion for quality and analysing.
  • You’re a top-notch communicator and collaborator with a proven record in stakeholder management. You also have a healthy dose of assertiveness.
  • You’re structured, analytical and can set priorities. Searching for a balance between the level of abstraction and the level of detail energizes you.
  • The software development lifecycle holds no secrets for you.
  • You’ve got a strong knowledge of most commonly used testing technologies ( Agile testing, V-model, …)
  • You’re familiar with Agile, BDD, DevOps, SaFe, …
  • SQL, SoapUI, Postman, … stimulate your interest.
  • You’ve got experience in facilitating workshops, requirement engineering and information modeling.
  • You’re known to work in a pragmatic way. You’re always seeking how to optimize processes and the way of working.
  • It’s not a must, but it’s a plus to have a notion, knowledge or experience of the following
    • Unix/Shell scripting, such as Python, Java, Javascript, …
    • Automatisation with Selenium, Cucumber, Fitness, SoapUi, BrowerStack, Postman, …
    • Modeling tools
    • Continuous Integration/ Continuous delivery, such as Jenkins
    • Containers, Docker, Kubernetes
    • Cloud services, such as AWS, Azure
    • Query monitoring tools, such as Splunk
